Pouch belt

Old reliable.

I think that is what a friend’s friend’s mother called a rope which she used as a belt.

I have a similar length of leather used sometimes to tie parcels, sometimes to keep hair out of my face and at other (critical) times used to hold up my pants.  It is incredibly versatile and I carry it with me at all times.

Today I made a much prettier version.

I’ve also used it:

to hold scissors around my neck

to tie a pant leg while bike riding

as a weird necklace

looped through a clutch to make a shoulder strap

as a weird bracelet

…you get the idea.

Inspired

A while ago, Nothing is New posted images of some of the most beautiful moccasins.

I couldn’t help but get inspired.

Today I made pouch necklaces.

Finally putting together the final samples for the spring line.

Today I made:

a new friend.

And watched some dudes make:

bagels!!!
